Saturday 10th I’ll be in fine company joining Felicity Rose Barrow, Patrick Farmer, Sarah Hughes, David Lacey, Samuel Rodgers, David Stent and Paul Whitty in a 4 hour realisation of The Patient by Joseph Clayton Mills in Oxford., followed by a recording sesh on Patrick Farmer’s Ann Quin inspired The origin of movement, or why things have movement.
[UPDATE] Flutist Kathryn Williams plays my Feet. Can’t. Fail. (slight return), an extremely short piece, along with other pieces from her Coming Up for Air collection and duos for flute and harp with Marie Leenhardt next Wednesday 22nd Feb at Liverpool University.
…sees CoMA’s Festival of Contemporary Music for All with events across the country and beyond, at which the Partsong Book will be launched. Assembled by James Weeks with Marc Dooley at Edition Peters, the book features pieces by Kerry Andrew, Michael Finnissy, Christopher Fox, Catherine Kontz, Sylvia Lim, Cassandra Miller, Janet Oates, Michael Pisaro, Amber Priestley, James Saunders, James Weeks and my Jandl Song lohengrin.
On Thursday 29th I’ll play a duo with Taku Sugimoto at Sheffield’s Over-the-Top, for Another Timbre‘s launch of his CD with Cristian Alvear, titled h. Taku will also perform with Minami Saeki, Ryoka Akama and Ecka Mordecai.
And at the end of April I will talk about Jandl Songs at Sheffield University’s Sound Agendas conference.
